Event Details
On December 16th, 1775, Jane Austen was born in the quaint village of Steventon, Hampshire in England. 250 years later, she remains a beloved figure in the literary world. Her best-selling novel, Pride and Prejudice, published in 1811, has sold over 20 million copies worldwide!
Come celebrate Jane's enduring legacy with a viewing of Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice (2005). In true Victorian fashion, enjoy tea, patisserie, and good company. Emulating a night with the Bennett's (minus the drama), you are highly encouraged to bring your knitting, needlepoint, and other projects. The library will provide needle felting, crocheting, and embroidery supplies for anyone interested.
Registration is encouraged.
